Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative at Lüleburgaz State Hospital
Within the framework of the Turkish Ministry of Health's efforts to promote breastfeeding and educate mothers with proper breastfeeding practices, the "Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative" was launched in 1991 to establish successful and consistent breastfeeding practices in maternity hospitals.
Hospitals providing maternity services that:
• Educate expectant mothers about breastfeeding starting from pregnancy
• Ensure mothers initiate breastfeeding immediately after birth
• Have trained healthcare staff to assist mothers with breastfeeding techniques
are awarded the "Baby-Friendly Hospital" designation. Our hospital has earned this prestigious title and continues to provide services under this program.
